Rhoda a member of the local garden club wants a greenhouse, but her stingy husband won't buy her one. She protest that even the whitehouse has a greenhouse and he retors that when she becomes president he will then buy her one. She sets about to become president of the garden club by soliciting the help of her friends in this political timely comedy.

“Harriet Beecher Stowe: A Literary Soldier” is a play based on the life and letters of the indomitable author, Harriet Beecher Stowe. It blends biographical and historical material and actual scenes from the book, “Uncle Tom’s cabin”, perfectly balanced for dramatic presentation. It exposes the audience to theatre in its truest form, one actor and the audience. Presented in conjunction with Black History Month, this presentation will be offered at no cost to all Middle School and High School students. Parents and other community members are invited to attend at a cost of $5.00 per person.
