The
Mystery Dinners assembled by the Good Neighbors Theater are an excellent
event for community gatherings. Participants are offered a chance to break
away from everyday life for a few hours for mysterious entertainment.
Each guest is given a plot summery which includes a mystery they are left
to decipher as clues are given by the characters throughout the dinner.
Each participant is given their character description and a bit of background
information which they are expected to dress, act, and talk like until the
evening's end. Improvisation is the vital tool participants use to make
the dinner as mysterious as possible. There are no lines to memorize, just
the character analysis given before the event. Those whom have participated
make every effort to be present for the next event of mystery.
Dinners are held in various local restaurants where appetizers, main course,
and desserts are served.

and dinner featured Cornish hens. As the evening progressed, members of
the audience were asked to participate in solving the mystery of a threat
to small town America. The evening was concluded with a sparkling grape
juice toast to 2006.
